If it’s just a casual dance though, it might be more appropriate to wear jeans and a nice top. Try something just slightly dressier than your everyday clothes.

Wearing bangles and fishnet armbands would also be a good idea. Dressing in a cocktail dress more suited to her taste would make her more attractive. Keep in mind that this is a school dance, so keep the attire simple and classy.
Just like how you can dress down a jumpsuit, you can dress up one too . If you feel that the jumpsuit you have isn’t dressy enough, you can simply layer it appropriately, with either the right jacket or blazer, or heels and jewelry. You can dress it down as well with a jean jacket or sneakers. If you aren’t sure what to expect in this regard (since everyone has a different opinion of what dressing “nice” means), ask your friends, parents, or teachers for ideas.

Take your dance global with an around-the-world theme, decorating different corners of the room to look like different countries or monuments. For extra fun, play music from all over the world, and host a buffet where students can try new cuisine. Fire and Ice - In the case of the average tween, their mood may reverse directions at a moment’s notice. Warm up the winter and celebrate the best of both worlds with a fire and ice theme. Split your venue down the middle and dress it up red and blue!
Boys could wear denim or leather jackets for a casual yet fancy look. Go for a cooler yet fancier style for this school dance. However, it’s not entirely necessary to wear a full-length dress to a middle school dance—this style is more reserved for dances in high schools, like prom or homecoming. The whole point of middle school dances is to be able to connect with your friends outside of school.
